Die Aktskizze dient nicht nur dazu, die Begrenzungslinien des menschlichen Körpers darzustellen. Mit der Aktskizze werden auch Begrenzungen der Beweglichkeit, individuelle Linienführung, konventionelle Haltungen und Grenzen des guten Anstandes erforscht. An ausgewählten Beispielen von Klimt, Schiele und Picasso philosophiert Bodypainter Fru über die Linie, das Berühren des Intimen, die Haut als Grenze und die Grenzen dessen, was man tun darf. Das erschliesst sich dem Betrachter allerdings erst, wenn er sich bewusst wird, dass die Vorlagen der Künstler mit echten Modellen nachgestellt und alle Linien der Skizzen auf den menschlichen Körper gemalt sind.
Beat Frutiger, oder Fru, wie er sich nennt, wuchs als Pfarrerssohn in Wabern bei Bern gleichsam auf dem Friedhof auf. Er ist pensionierter Kunstlehrer und freischaffender Künstler und lebt heute in Kaiseraugst.

The nude sketch is not only used to depict the boundaries of the human body. The nude sketch also explores the limits of mobility, individual lines, conventional postures and the boundaries of good manners. Using selected examples by Klimt, Schiele and Picasso, Bodypainter Fru philosophises about the line, touching the intimate, the skin as a boundary and the limits of what one is allowed to do. However, this only becomes clear to the viewer when they realise that the artists' models have been recreated using real models and that all the lines in the sketches have been painted on the human body.

Beat Frutiger, or Fru as he calls himself, grew up as the son of a preacher in Wabern near Bern, in the cemetery as it were. He is a retired art teacher and freelance artist and now lives in Kaiseraugst.
